We’ve all seen gift guides floating around the internet, but this one is extra special: every item listed elevates the maker behind the product. That means that not only do you find a meaningful, high quality, and beautiful gift for the women in your life, but that product also creates opportunities for artisans being paid fair, dignified wages, elevating both craft and livelihood.
‘Tis the season for gifts that look good, feel good, and do good in the world.
Without further ado, I present to you, my 2023 Ethically-Made Gift Guide for Women:

Timeless Gifts:

Black Chelsea Boots– In addition to being a closet staple that will last me for decades, I see myself eventually passing these on to my kids. Nisolo is a b-certified company who meets the highest standards for social and environmental responsibility. These boots check all the boxes! (Code HELLOMRSFINE gives new customers 20% off)
Black Crossbody Purse– A purse that converts from crossbody to clutch and has a feature that allows it to be carried as a small or bigger bag? Yes, please! But I also love it because it’s the most luxurious feeling Ethiopian sheepskin leather that’s made ethically in Ethiopia.
Convertible Bag– If caramel leather is more your style, I have to share the *star* product in my life! This bag converts from handbag to crossbody to backpack, and with a zipper and several pockets, it’s such a great everyday bag. It’s also ethically made in a Ugandan-female owned workshop in Uganda with high quality craftsmanship!
Pendant Necklace– Made by women in East Asia who have escaped sex trafficking, this necklace tells a story of hope and redemption. It can be worn as is or engraved to add even more meaning, a legacy piece of jewelry! (Also works so beautifully with the stacked necklace trend.)
Chocker Necklace– Another brand I’m personally shopping this holiday season is Sela Designs because of their commitment to donating 100% of net profits to organizations doing good in the world. This particular chocker would layer great with the one above!
Travel Carryall Bag– This has been on every trip with me the past 2 years, and I cannot recommend it enough! There are 3 pockets inside, 1 outside, and the best part: it has a luggage strap to securely attach to a roller luggage bag. It makes traveling in style (even with kids) so easy!
Wool House Slippers– These are on my personal wish list, partly because wool is warm + doesn’t make your feet stink and partly because I love that they are made by female artisans in Nepal. They’re a sustainable option, too, being made from 100% natural materials.
Jewelry Travel Case– It’s such a beautiful and functional way to travel with jewelry! This is on my personal wishlist because when form meets function, I fall in love. 🙂 Ethically made in India. (40% off with code KIMBERLYHOLIDAY40)
Practical Necessities:

Black or Brown Belt– If you’re wanting to level up any outfit, this belt in brown or black will do the job! It’s ethically made of real leather in Brazil, and after wearing the black one for several months I put the brown one on my wish list. It’s that good. (40% off with code KIMBERLYHOLIDAY40)
Everyday Hoop Earrings– I consider these a practical necessity because they make such a good everyday earring. They are made of upcycled brass by artisans in Kenya, which means they’ll need polished every once in a while. But they’re so worth it for their everyday wearability!
Another Hoop Option– I wear small hoops almost everyday, and I’ve been noticing so many women do the same. These are a pair of hoops on my personal wish list! (get 40% off with code KIMBERLYHOLIDAY40)
Convertible Wallet– One way this wallet has simplified my life is it easily transfers from my tiny clutch bag to my everyday purse to a tote, and I’m not constantly forgetting things! Because of the loops on the top, I’ve even added this wristlet strap so I can carry it all by itself. So versatile!
Organic Sateen Sheet Set-While I don’t own ethically made sheets (yet), my dear friend Emily has raved about these so much that when it’s time to get new sheets, I’m definitely getting this set! Who wouldn’t enjoy snuggling up in comfy new sheets?
Spa Rib Bathroom Towels-Made of organic cotton from Turkey, I love how these towels create a calming, spa-like atmosphere. Throw in your favorite essential oil scent, and your gift set is complete!
Wooden Cutting Board– How does a handcrafted, wood serving board just warm up a kitchen?! Made from Albizia hardwood, every piece is hand-carved, hand-finished and naturally stained without any chemical polish on it. Each piece has unique variations in knots, grain and texture and no two boards are the same!
Beanie– This one is similar to the popular Carhart beanie, but Known Supply has so many great options to choose from. Fair trade means they can guarantee the makers are paid a dignified wage.
Boucle Sweater– It’s obviously the coziest of the ideas on my list, but it’s also super versatile! Making getting ready all the easier, I love that it can be dressed down with leggings and boots, dressed up with a skirt, or even biz casual with trousers. (40% off with code KIMBERLYHOLIDAY40)
Terry Crew Sweatshirt and Sweatpant– Ok, another cozy option because the matching sweats set is a trend that seems to be sticking around and this one in particular is just so easy to wear as is or style with a denim jacket for school pickup and running errands.
Hilana Blanket– With one of these, you recycle what a person recycles in 13 years! Ethically made in Turkey of 50% recycled cotton, they are durable, soft, and get better with age.
Modern Plant Pulley– This unique plant hanger is designed as a pulley to make water super easy. Perfect for the plant lady who has a strong Practicality gene in her! (Code HELLOMRSFINE gets ya 10% off)
Sunglasses– Sustainable sunglasses?! Yes, I’ve found them! These are made from recycled plastic, and I cannot wait to get a pair. One thing that’s helpful is their virtual try-on option.
Consumable Gifts

Coffee– We have two favorites, both ethically sourced by way of direct relationships with the coffee farmers. Both are delicious! The other coffee roaster happens to be local in Colorado, but they ship nationwide.
Plant Food– I’ve been using this over a year and my plants have gone from just surviving to absolutely thriving. Anyone who owns a plants needs this magical plant food! (Code HELLOMRSFINE gets ya 10% off)
Doterra Essential Oils– Though I haven’t explored healing benefits of EOs, I LOVE the On Guard blend for how it makes my home smell, which somehow manages to be fresh while still feeling cozy. It’s the only clean scent I use, and I love the social initiatives Doterra is working toward.
