Holidays can bring a lot of celebration but also a lot of expense and additional stress. Because of this, my approach is to stretch my closet to create holiday outfits without spending a fortune to invest in specific ‘holiday worthy’ pieces. Utilizing what I already have or know I will get a lot of wear out of in the future, I can create outfits that feel like me and don’t create unnecessary excess! The following pieces from my closet have been and will be worn for many days, weeks, and years to come, and maybe they’ll give you ideas of what you can wear from your closet.
Create 3 holiday looks from items you’ll wear over and over with these minimal pieces:

A little black dress
I own one for each season because it’s so versatile. Easily goes from date night to strolling a market to holiday party. Dress it up with heels, add layers for warmth, or keep it simple with boots.

A personal favorite outfit + statement jewelry
I always feel best when I’m wearing an outfit I love, and it’s easy to dress it up for a holiday party with big, sparkly earrings!

A Monochromatic Look
Sticking to one color works for every single occasion, in my opinion. I chose black because it’s my personal favorite but a cream/white outfit would be beautiful for holiday events, too!
See how I’m styling these (for holidays and regular life, too!) and other effortlessly chic outfits from my winter capsule wardrobe on Instagram.
